Drummer Kevin Brady has established himself as one of the most in demand musicians in Europe. He has been recognised and critically acclaimed in The Irish Times, The Chicago Reader, Jazzwise, The Sydney Morning Herald, All About Jazz, and Downbeat Magazine.
Kevin has performed with International artists such as: Lage Lund (Guitar), Jason Rebello (Piano), Brian Charette (Hammond Organ), Peter Bernstein (Guitar), Seamus Blake (Sax), Norma Winstone (Vocals), Pee Wee Ellis (Sax), Bill Carrothers (Piano), Larry Coryell (Guitar), Nir Felder (Guitar), Perico Sambeat (Sax). In 2007, Kevin began to lead his own piano trio featuring the U.S. pianist Bill Carrothers. Their aim was to create and produce compositions by all members of the trio. The group have travelled widely and won the appreciation of discerning jazz audiences as far afield as the USA, Europe, China and the Azores. To date he has released three critically acclaimed studio albums entitled Ensam, Common Ground & Zeitgeist.
His latest album entitled ‘PLAN B’ will be released in October 2021 with U.K. based label Ubuntu Music.
This is a new musical approach for Brady's original music; reminiscent of the early 70’s Miles Davis Band & Herbie Hancock's Headhunters, it features the stellar musical talents of U.S. Saxophonist Seamus Blake & Bill Carrothers on Fender Rhodes and Bassist Dave Redmond.
“Brady is worth keeping an eye on...”– Alan Drouit, Downbeat U.S.
“Brady is a Less-is-Better Drummer in the tradition of Paul Motion. His music is thoughtful and accessible with hints of quickness here & there”– Tom Greenland, New York City Jazz Record
