Sing with Discovery Gospel Choir at Hotter than July online!

Celebrate music from around the world by learning songs from different cultures with Dublin’s legendary Discovery Gospel Choir! Participants will have access to two online workshops to learn some of the choir's favourite songs. The emphasis is on participation, fun and raising awareness of intercultural music. A short video will be launched online after the workshops, to end the festival by a “performance”. This video will be composed by videos and recordings of the participants singing.

Discovery Gospel Choir is Ireland’s leading multi-cultural choir, singing songs of hope from all over the world. With a membership spanning 14 different nationalities, they sing in 30 different languages. Discovery Choir’s motto is “Discovery Beauty in Everyone”, and they share our vision of a modern, diverse Ireland through our vibrant performances.

Please register for both days for this workshop! We would ask that you only sign up for this virtual choir if you can attend both workshops and are happy to share your video for the final performance! Participants under 18 will need adult supervision.

For 2020, Hotter than July is moving to an online space, celebrating inclusivity and diversity with music, dance and creativity that is accessible to everyone from home! Hotter than July is an annual celebration of the cultural diversity within our city through music and dance from around the world, supported by Dublin City Council.
