Weaving together her extensive training in composition, improvised music, piano and Indonesian percussion, her works are often immersive, multi-sensory, and investigative with social commentary. Passionate about exploring parallels between seemingly disparate concepts, Bianca is inspired by that which connects us.

Described by ClassikON as a "new music luminary”, Bianca's compositions have been awarded the Pythia Prize and the Percy Grainger Award. Her album of improvisations with // without (Impermanence) garnered four star reviews in the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, as did her performance with, and commission from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra - 'Utter Stutter Flutter' at the Myer Music Bowl.

Bianca's free improvisations and instant compositions traverse form and genre. The other-worldly extended harmonies and tunings of solo simultaneous piano + gamelan + singing bowls create an ethereal lyricism layered with pulsating difference tones. Unique timbres, ritualistic rhythms, jazz and post-classical references resonate in an expansive timelessness. JOLT have described her as "redefining the idiom" and as "one of Australia's rising jazz stars".

2020 Artist in Residence with the City of Greater Dandenong, Bianca has participated in residencies with the Australian Art Orchestra, with International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, with Gamelan Cudamani in Bali and has lived and studied in West Java as recipient of the Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship. Artistic Director of immersive series ‘The Sound of Shadows’, she has collaborated with internationally acclaimed Indonesian artists and custodians of endangered Indonesian food-centric instruments. Her work has been presented internationally by leading ensembles including Ensemble Offspring, International Contemporary Ensemble and Rubiks Collective.
