Copeland/Halferty/Guilfoyle Trio feat. Michael Buc

US drummer Keith Copeland reunites with his Irish trio under the leadership of guitarist Tommy Halferty. This decade-long partnership has been documented over four CDs, all of which find Halferty and bassist Ronan Guilfoyle audibly inspired by the seismic groove Copeland generates.

Little wonder, given his reputation as a virtuoso of time, a master musician who brings the full spectrum of Afro-American music to the drum kit, gained from many years on the bandstand with musicians as diverse as composer George Russell, saxophonist Johnny Griffin and soul legends Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder.

Expect the trio to be firing on all cylinders as tonight's gig sees them joined on the bandstand by special guest Michael Buckley.
