Das Fünf

Post bop quintet meets organ trio in Das Fünf, making their Pendulum debut, but featuring some familiar faces from the cohort of up and coming players here. Drummer Keith Barry leads a groove oriented line up that includes the tasteful Darragh O’Kelly on keys, adventurous guitarist Shane Latimer, and a robust pocket brass section of trumpeter Bill Blackmore and trombonist Colm O’Hara. Chomping at the bit following a recent gig in the NCH’s John Field Room, Das Fünf will be probing the textural and rhythmic possibilities afforded by their hybrid line up, via a repertoire of original tunes.
