David Berkman Quartet & Special Guests

David Berkman is the consummate jazz pianist, steeped in the tradition of American swinging music that reaches back to Ellington, yet equally adept at assimilating the new directions that renew the jazz contract with creativity, and his musical intelligence, modest lyricism and flair for the unexpected are captured on four acclaimed releases for leading US independent label Palmetto.

The same can be said of his fellow NYC musicians saxophonist Dick Oatts, bassist Johannes Weidenmuller and drummer Gerald Cleaver, joining Berkman for what promises to be a memorable night of contemporary Manhattan swing at the Pendulum, with guest appearances by leading lights of the Dublin scene.
