All avenues are explored in this duet from these titans of Irish jazz guitar, with dynamic interpretations of standards from the pop and jazz canon and original songs that reflect their individual but very complimentary styles. Opposites attract, never more apt than here. Nielsen's ingenuity of pulse and shards of colour are a perfect counterpoint to Halferty's agile, Brazilian inflected style, as two become one in a poised equilibrium between melody, harmony and rhythm.
