Jazz Connector July
Our kick-off Jazz Connector meet-up in February was cathartic and inspiring, but more importantly it reminded us all of the importance of communication and working together from within our creative scene. If you missed out, you can read all of the talking points that were discussed here.
Following on from this event, IMC would again like to invite all the communities of people who make up the jazz world in Ireland - musicians, promoters, educators and venues - to come together for an informal Zoom meet-up on Thursday July 2nd.
Together, we’ll be discussing the effects of Covid-19 on the jazz scene and adapting to the ‘new normal’.
We’ve invited a few guest voices to share their experiences including:
- Nick Roth on live and pre recorded streaming and his experience with Piece by Piece and The Butterfly Sessions.
- Emilie Conway on adapting in person works to an online setting after her recent work with Cruinniú na nÓg.
- Bex Burch on Collaborative Improvisations via Zoom and her experiences making music with others online.
Please register your interest below to attend. You can also let us know if there are any particular topics that you would like us to cover in this or future discussions. Places are limited so be sure to let us know if you’d like to join in!
