John Stowell & Hugh Buckley Pendulum

Hugh Buckley may be among the more unassuming guitarists on the Irish scene, but his resume of international associations speaks volumes for the esteem in which he's held elsewhere, and 2008 has proved a bountiful year for collaborations. The latest is Oregon based John Stowell, the American guitarist whose career spans three decades and includes historic tours to the Soviet Union with flautist Paul Horn, compositions for film and frequent contributions to Downbeat. A name that elicits much respect from other guitarists, he shares stylistic common ground with Buckley with a similiar penchant for the chordal and linear approach of the bop masters.
