For their part, Ronan Guilfoyle's Metier are just back from London, where they shared a double bill with Polish legend Tomasz Stanko in the prestigious QEH. As with Galway's Contempo Quartet, Metier are an ensemble in residence, in this instance Dun Laoghaire Rathdown, and with a line up that convenes five of the strongest musicians in Ireland today, this is a quintet that positively bristles with creative energy.
