Such affirmation for Daniel Jacobsen (guitar), Sean Og (sax) Greg Felton (piano), Dave Redmond (bass) and Sean Carpio (drums) provides compelling evidence of their central roles in new Irish jazz, as they gather for the launch performance of their debut CD, The Habit of Energy. Eclecticism is the order of the day under their collective banner Oldsquarelines, with original writing that embraces both traditional music and open improv, with the impetus of contemporary swing and algorhythmic grooves.
