Pendulum- The Troupe

Now a mainstay of exuberant outfits like North Strand Klezmer Band, trombonist Colm O'Hara is one of the city's most dynamic and engaging soloists, and here he steps up to the plate as leader with The Troupe, an adventurous collective that explores free improv within different instrumental and vocal contexts.

The latter is provided by Lauren Kinsella, a bright emerging talent who is well attuned to the new vocal landscape mapped out by improvisers like Norway’s Sidsel Endressen. Pianist Darragh O’Kelly, bassist Derek Whyte and drummer Conor Murray are the other elements and equally make their mark in this genuinely creative endeavour that has emerged from the recent Made on Mondays series in JJ Smyths.
