Ray Preston Quintet

This unassuming Belgian master has wooed the world with an instrument that, in his cupped hands, produces a hugely seductive sound”.

These were the Washington Post’s words about Toots Thielemans, the fountainhead of jazz harmonica. Ireland’s leading exponent of the small instrument with the big sound is Ray Preston.

Helping him pay tribute to Toots are Brian Wynne (tenor), Julie Cruikshank (piano), Rory O’Donovan (bass) and Shane O’Donovan (drums).
