Richard Nelson Quintet

Richard Nelson returns to The Pendulum with a new CD, Moments Notice, hot off the presses, and a programme of jazz standards performed on anything but a standard jazz instrument , the 10-string C6-tuned Pedal Steel guitar.

Having spent time in Nashville as a student of both Jeff Newman and Doug Jernigan, world leaders in the field, Nelson performed to great acclaim at the British Steel Guitar festival in 2001 & 2002.

He's also organising an Irish Steel Guitar festival, but this gig finds him in the jazz company of fellow guitarist Hugh Buckley, pianist Phil Ware, bassist Dave Redmond and drummer Kevin Brady.
