Sami Moukaddem, Pendulum

The Lebanese guitarist and composer Sami Moukaddem "draws fruitfully on his Middle Eastern heritage to create this fascinating jazz hybrid."-The Irish Times. The adopted Dub deserves high praise for music incorporating vivid imagery from his formative experiences growing up in the Lebanon and his experience now removed from the concerns of his homeland, issues explored at length in his recently released fourth CD ‘Facts of Life For The Palestinian’, a musical tagine that marries original tunes with Arabic grooves, seasoned by Irish, Lebanese, and Spanish musicians, with saxophonist Brendan Doyle, bassist Jose Carlos Flores and percussionist Robbie Harris, and newly joined vocalist Riona Hartman.
