Trihornophone

Trihornophone emerges from the fertile mind of saxophonist and composer Sean Og, dedicated to performing original, new music for trumpet, two saxophones and drum kit. He's liberally filched influences from pop, European Folk and the Avant Garde along with developments in contemporary jazz, remolding them over a bed of bouncing rhythms and odd meter grooves. Their three-minute epics underline a playful approach to improvised music, with instrumentation that yields new timbres and textures. Bill Blackmore (trumpet), Kelan Walsh (baritone) and Dennis Cassidy (drums) join Trihornophone's composer in chief on alto saxophone.
