Kari Groven is a refreshingly individualistic singer, Karl Rooney is a very able saxophonist, bassist Dave Redmond is proving himself indispensable on the city's gigging scene, and Sean Carpio is the drummer of the moment, with the added bonus of Jacobsen's quirky original compositions, refreshingly free of clichés.
