12 Points chosen to receive the EFFE (Europe for Festivals Festivals for Europe) Label 2017-2018

We are delighted to announce that 12 Points has been selected to receive the EFFE Label 2017-2018. The EFFE (Europe for Festivals Festivals for Europe) is facilitated by the European Festivals Association, which consists of festivals that stand for artistic quality and have a significant impact on the local, national and international level. The EFA is an ever-expanding umbrella group for festivals in Europe and beyond that focus mainly on Europe’s diversity and creativity.

The EFFE Platform answers a project call launched by the European Commission and the European Parliament. Thanks to EFA’s past and present active engagement in Europe’s cultural policy development and thanks to its broad membership, the European Commission gave EFA the mandate to set up a new implementing organisation for this pilot project on the long term. It was launched in 2014 by the European Commission’s Androulla Vassiliou, Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth.

12 Points are honoured to be associated with the EFA and are looking forward to working with them in the near future. During their evaluation on 12 Points, the Hub experts gave the festival the following feedback:

‘This festival excels in its commitment to developing artists , it has built and continues to build strong networks. While community engagement maybe limited to the art-form community, it too is very strong.’

12 Points will soon appear on the EFFE website, which means that the festivals’ information is easily accessible for festival audiences, artists, artistic organisations, ensembles, orchestras, theatre and dance companies, public authorities at all levels, sponsors and private companies, and the media.

The 12 Points 2017 programme will be announced this Friday the 28th of April at the Jazzahead expo in Bremen, Germany. The 11th edition of the festival will be held this Summer in Aarhus, Denmark from the 16-18th of july. This year's festival will be brought to you in association with Jazz Danmark and the Aarhus Jazz Festval.
