16 March 2020: Postponement of IMC concerts due to covid-19 outbreak
We are currently in an unprecedented time in Ireland with regard to the ongoing pandemic of the covid-19 virus.
As you are probably well aware, the Irish government has issued specific recommendations in relation to public gatherings up to March 29th and, potentially, beyond this date.
They will issue regular updates to the public during the period between now and end of March.
Consequently, Improvised Music Company, in consultation with our artists and partners, have taken the decision to postpone 2 of our upcoming shows.
We had planned to launch our Interland Series with our partners Creative Scotland in Glasgow on March 26th, and in Dublin on April 1st. This event is now postponed and we will update you all shortly on a new date for this concert. Interland will feature Irish artists Umbra and Scottish artists Animal Society.
Additionally, we are postponing our April edition of IMC's Signal Series, originally programmed for April 2nd. We will notify our audience about the reshceduled date as soon as possible.
The safety of our patrons and artists is our primary focus during this period.
We will continue to monitor this evolving situation and will update here, and on our social media channels should any new action be required.
You can contact us directly with any enquries via hello(at)improvisedmusic(dot)ie
And follow us Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
And in the meantime, check out some Playlists of great Irish and international jazz artists on our Spotify and Youtube channels
Stay indoors, stay healthy - and we'll see you on the other side!
