Open Call - The Signal Series: New Directions in Irish Jazz

As part of IMC’s commitment to celebrating Irish jazz talent in 2019, we are thrilled to announce a new monthly live event, ‘The Signal Series’, focused on showcasing the best emerging and established Irish jazz and improvised music acts from across the country.

To guarantee a fresh and diverse programme, we are now seeking submissions from jazz and improvising musicians and ensembles from all over Ireland to perform at this series in 2019, showcasing the very best of the vibrant jazz scene that exists in this country.

The Signal Series double-bill concerts will take place on the last Tuesday of each month in Dublin's newest live music venue, The Wild Duck pub, on Sycamore Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2. The first concert in this series will take place on Tuesday 26th February 2019 and continue throughout the year.

A brainchild of renowned publican Gary Whelan, The Wild Duck is an exciting new venue with a focus on engaging with Irish music and theatre artists and audiences.

Musicians can apply to perform at The Signal Series by filling out this form.

We’ll be announcing the programme for the first concert of The Signal Series by the end of January, so keep an eye out here on our website www.improvisedmusic.ie and facebook page.
