After a pandemic-induced hiatus in 2020, 12 Points will return in Autumn 2021 (the exact dates are still TBC).
It will be hosted in Dublin, Ireland.
It is unclear yet what the exact format will be given the ongoing pandemic.
We cannot let another year pass, however, without presenting the brightest emerging jazz talent from across Europe at our much-loved festival!
Please note that there have been changes in the selection process since the inception of the festival. We rely heavily on our counterparts across the EU and the Europe Jazz Network to keep us abreast of the most innovative domestic talents. As a consequence, and in many ways to increase representation from countries who are perceived as not as active, we have moved from an open adjudication process to a more curated selection process, involving key industry and organisations in each European Country.
Details on the new format will be released shortly.
12 Points presents 12 young European jazz acts each year, creating a unique opportunity for its participants, audiences and a valuable resource for festival bookers seeking a high quality pan-European showcase of emerging jazz talent.
There is no better festival to experience the breadth, energy, ambition and diversity through which young European musicians are making the jazz of tomorrow.
