Despite the growth in popularity in Salsa dance here, there has been little chance for dancers to try their newfound moves to a live band. That’s all about to change, with Conor Guilfoyle reforming the legendary Havana ’che for their 20th anniverary after a long hiatus from the Cuban music scene.

Featuring the powerful, engaging voice of habanero Evelio Galan, lead vocalist with the Afro- Cuban All Stars, the group features a diverse snapshot of Irish multiculturalism at work. Guilfoyle, who has lectured in many of the word’s music leading conservatories, has recruited some of the most talented musicians based in Ireland today, featuring members from Venezuela, South Africa, France, Czech Republic, Ukraine, and of course, Cuba.

As Ireland’s leading exponents of authentic Cuban music, from timba and salsa to rumba and guaguanco, Havana ‘che are a high-octane 10-piece who create pure unadulterated party music, guaranteed to get your audience grooving in 2016.
