Kimura/Lunny/Kelly

Floating

The wonderfully nuanced music of Izumi Kimura and Cora Venus Lunny folds with immersive field recordings by sound artist Anthony Kelly to form a sonically rich response to the coastal townlands of Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin, Ireland.

Larry Coryell's Last Swing with Ireland

Jazz guitar giant Larry Coryell's last studio recording, made at the Hellfire Studios with drummer Kevin Brady and bassist Dave Redmond.

Adam Nolan Trio

Prim and Primal

A fresh new concept album based on contrasting personalities and approaches to free jazz. One is clean, tidy, polite and humble while the other is aggressive, bold, raw, risky and wild.

Matthew Halpin

Agreements

Matthew and his band of musicians—Kit Downes on organ, Hanno Busch on guitar, Sean Carpio on drums, and Sergio Martinez on percussion—embody present, past, and future. They expand and contract, maneuver past impossible hairpin turns, and interact with kaleidoscopic intricacy.

Simon Jermyn

Processes

This album is a collection of solo pieces recorded between 2018 and 2020. They are all improvisations from practice sessions I recorded on my iphone(5!) Some are a brief window into a particular soundworld, while others are more developed.

H-ci

The End (Part 1)

A musical chameleon, the electronic composer and jazz drummer H-ci, whose music is heavily influenced by electronic music artists such as Aphex Twin, Autechre, and Boards of Canada, but also incorporates elements of contemporary Jazz and avant-garde. With an array of synthesizers and drums, complex layers of rhythm are created through the use of drum machines as well as live acoustic drums, with the melodic content almost exclusively synthesizer based.
