Collaborative Sonic Exploration with Ed Devane

Performance by Navigator musician-in-residence Ed Devane, in collaboration with local musicians.

This October, sound artist and creative improviser Ed Devane will be the NAVIGATOR musician in residence at Garter Lane, Waterford, in association with Improvised Music Company.

During the residency, Ed is looking to deeply engage with the people of Waterford through a series of improvised, exploratory music-making workshops, held over the week of 6-14th October. These will culminate in a group performance on Wednesday 14th October at 7pm in Garter Lane, which is open to the general public.

In particular, Ed is looking for guitarists, vocalists and digital sound makers who are interested in collaborative noise-making with open ears and open minds.

If you are interested in taking part, please contact Ed on edjdevane@gmail.com

Audiences can then join Ed and his new improvising ensemble for a performance on Wednesday night 14th October to experience and enjoy what unfolds!

This will be a free event, but donations towards the participating musicians are welcome.

Speaking in advance of the residency, Ed said “Through the people I meet, the resonant objects I encounter, and the architectural acoustics I travel through, I will be open to opportunities to collaborate, to play, and to learn."
