Cooler Clinics Online: Funding Focus
Each month, Improvised Music Company hosts Cooler Clinic CPD events. These sessions offer musicians one-to-one support and guidance around building sustainable creative careers.
For this Online Cooler Clinic, we’re turning our focus to funding, with a particular emphasis on the upcoming Arts Council Bursary and Commission Awards.
Book a free one-to-one consultation with a member of the IMC team to:
- Get another pair of eyes on any funding application for possible gaps, errors, or areas of misunderstanding
- Sense-check your proposal’s goals against the award’s guidelines and intentions
- Talk through ideas at any stage and decide which path is most viable
- Review budgets or build a structure you can use going forward
- Refine your artistic rationale, framing, or supporting materials
Whether you’re applying for a Bursary to develop your own artistic practice, or a Commission to bring a new collaborative work to life, these sessions are a chance to ground your application in clarity, confidence, and clear next steps.
If you’re not working on a current application but want to become more comfortable with funding processes overall, feel free to bring along a previous application, draft, or even a vague idea you’d like to explore. IMC is not a funding body, but with experience across many applications, we can offer useful insight and a fresh pair of eyes.
