David Lyttle Quintet featuring Paul Tarussov

"Definitely one to watch" is how The Belfast Telegraph described drummer David Lyttle and these days the industrious young drummer is also making a big impression in Dublin, no surprise given his appetite for music that swings hard. Stylistically, he'll be sharing common ground with Montreal trombonist Paul Tarussov, currently finishing up post grad studies in Juilliard, but already well established on the Canadian scene and performing with musicians as diverse as Phil Woods and Han Bennink. Tussarov joins an impressive quintet that also includes Cork tenor Karl Rooney, pianist Greg Felton, US bassist Dan Bodwell, recently returned to the Irish jazz scene.
