Dorothy Murphy Quartet

Dorothy Murphy has been at the vanguard of vocal jazz in Ireland for some years and her dark, bitter sweet tone is a perfect foil for the Broadway standard, while her reading of Brazilian songs in their native Portuguese is one of the high points of her performance.

Equally, she's an individualistic composer and a confident improviser, and her co-musicians are led by guitarist and longtime collaborator Hugh Buckley, with further support from bassist Rory O' Donovan and drummer Phil McMullen.
