Double Bill, Dunne & Hernandez/Dwyer & Nielsen

Hot on the heels of their involvement in Music Spoken Here, RTE R1's acclaimed recent series on new Irish Music, comes a brace of its participants, with a night of exceptional two way dialogue in prospect.

On the one hand, Mike Nielsen and Benjamin Dwyer, leading guitarists in their respective areas of jazz and contemporary music, finding fertile ground around shared concepts of improvisation, and informed by their different but complimentary musical philosophies.

On the other, Argentinian guitarist Ariel Hernandez enlisting the formidable services of Ireland's leading classical accordionist Dermot Dunne, and inviting you to hear the exquisite folk style of rural Argentina known as chaquarere, also proving that it does indeed take two, with original tango inspired by Astor Piazzola.
