Equinox

Dublin bassist Johnny Daly has been industrious during his four years study in Holland and Equinox is the latest project that sees him pool the creative resources with other talented musicians met at The Hague's Royal Conservatory.

Guitarist Dan Nicholas, saxophonist Chris Johansen and drummer Anthony Davis all originally hail from The US, and together with Daly they've been honing a very convincing group sound at a twice-weekly residence at Pavlov, the main outlet for The Hague's high concentration of jazz musicians.

Often performing with stellar guests from the Dutch scene like trumpeter Ack Van Royen and saxophonist John Ruocco, they'll be putting those experiences to good use on this Irish tour devoted to the music of Thelonius Monk.
