The title comes from Liebman’s characteristically direct advice as to the ingredients of artistic success, and this inspirational teacher has been dispensing it to aspiring musicians across the globe for many years, and in Ireland since the late ‘80s. On the eve of Liebman’s 60th birthday, Ronan Guilfoyle has written a suite in dedication to his great friend and mentor, and joining the Irish bassist in celebration are trombonist Nils Wogram, clarinettist John Ruocco, guitarist Joe O’Callaghan and drummer Tom Rainey. Expect Liebman to give a dramatic exposition of these three creative elements with his soprano as centrepiece in this exceptional gathering of Irish, German and US musicians.
