Jazz Connector

** PLEASE NOTE the date for this event has been changed to Wed 26th Feb **

The Public Discussion at Jazz Connective in December was both cathartic and inspiring, but most importantly it reminded us all of the importance of communication and working together from within our creative scene.

Stemming from this December debate, IMC would again like to invite all the communities of people who make up the jazz world in Ireland - musicians, promoters, educators and venues - to come together for an informal meet-up to identify and discuss key issues that affect our community.

We want to facilitate an Irish Jazz Forum, and we need every stakeholder’s input to do so.

Our kick-off Jazz Connector meet-up event will take place on Wed 26th February, between 6-8pm, at Bourke’s Bar, Wexford St, Dublin 2, and we look forward to hearing your plans for 2020.

This first Jazz Connector will be an opportunity to discuss:

- Jazz Connective Public Discussion - Ideas raised during this discussion last December and your plans relating to the Irish jazz scene.

- Jazzahead! - Artist bursaries, any assistance IMC can provide with reviewing applications, and representing artists via our Irish playlist etc.

- International Jazz Day 30th April - Your plans to raise the profile of Irish jazz for the day that’s in it, and any assistance IMC can provide in publicising gigs, releases or other projects.

From this initial, informal discussion, subsequent forums (held at least once a quarter) will focus on specific themes, and if useful, feature a guest speaker, as well as open-floor discussion.

Please RSVP HERE to ensure a place at the forum.

Capacity at this venue is limited to 25, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hope to see you there!
