John Eckert & The Phil Ware Trio

New Jersey native John Eckert epitomises the hectic lifestyle of the accomplished US jazz musician, equally at home in the lead trumpet chair of a big band, blowing standards with a quartet or working in the pit with The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. A product of North Texas SU’s acclaimed graduate jazz programme, his career began in earnest in the late 60s, playing lead with The Maynard Ferguson Orchestra.

Over the last three decades, he’s also worked with Toshiko Akiyoshi, Louie Belson, Benny Carter, Benny Goodman, Jimmy Heath, Woody Herman, Thad Jones/Mel Lewis, Lee Konitz, John Lewis, Gerry Mulligan and Stan Kenton. He returns to The Pendulum with this wealth of experience to Dublin for a blowing date with The Phil Ware Trio.

This is not a ticketed event. €8 cover charge applies.
