Julie Was Her Name

Turn the lights down low for this special anniversary tribute to the late Julie London featuring the voice of Dav McNamara. London is best remembered for her million-selling rendition of "Cry Me A River" written for her by Arthur Hamilton, a childhood friend.

Here Dav reinterprets the early recordings on which London's reputation, as a romantic ballad performer par excellence, was established. Guitarist Tom Harte heads a small ensemble, adding the discreet accompaniment that makes the jazz ballad so poignant.
