Kai Sextet

A Pendulum debut for the exploratory Kai Sextet, the latest incarnation of composer and alto saxophonist Nick Roth's Kai franchise. Acclaim for Kai's genre bending approach to composion and improv has been plentiful, and the group draws toghether players across a refreshingly diverse musical spectrum.

From the contemporary scene comes cellist Kate Ellis, herself a mainstay of The Crash Ensemble, with the increasingly original soprano saxophone of Cathal Roche, the always rewarding Justin Carroll on piano, and the very able rhythm section of bassist Cormac O'Brien and drummer John Mele.
