Lindsey Horner @ Pendulum

New Yorker Lindsey Horner has a most impressive resume, stylistically diverse and open in its embrace of musicians on both sides of the Atlantic, including Bill Frisell, Myra Melford and Dave Douglas in the US, with Kenny Wheeler and Phillipe Catherine among his European collaborators. His roots in Irish music are deep too, a consequence of his lengthy tenure here in the early 80’s, where he was a boon to the Irish jazz and roots music scenes. Appropriately, he’s back in Ireland for gigs on the two instruments on which he excels, playing bass with singer/songwriter Susan McKeon as part of Temple Bar Trad, and here playing bass clarinet and baritone saxophone in a reunion gig with Tommy Halferty(guitar), Ronan Guilfoyle (bass) and Conor Guilfoyle (drums)
