Following recent shows at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and another triumph at the Dublin Fringe, Maria Tecce returns to The Pendulum with her vibrant new show Viva. Its a marriage of the music of Astor Piazzolla, Spanish ballads, Antonio Carlos Jobim, jazz standards and bossa nova with the words of Chile’s master poet Pablo Neruda, and its made in heaven. Her forthright, fiery style and elegant interpretation deliver a riveting performance that has won her many admirers. Providing the instrumental riposte to her spirited vocal delivery are Mike Nielsen (guitar), Francesco Turrisi (accordion/percussion), and Damian Evans (double bass).
