Mark McKnight Organ Quartet - Pendulum

Mark McKnight

“Already an exceptional talent and one to watch” is how The Irish Times recently described Overnight, the debut CD from Mark McKnight, and certainly this supple and inventive young guitarist is serving notice that Belfast is enjoying a jazz resurgence. Since graduating from Berklee, he’s been performing and recording in good company, including Jason Rebello, Jean Toussaint, Sam Yahel, Darren Beckett, Tim Warfield and Terell Stafford. Here he’s joined by saxophonist Will Vinson, the young Londoner whose muscular alto style is finding friends in NYC, where among other projects in the front rank, he is a regular with the Mingus Big Band. The group is completed by two of London’s most in demand young jazz musicians, rising star of the Hammond organ Ross Stanley and the prodigious drummer James Maddren.
