Métier @ Pendulum

A Pendulum debut for Métier, and something of a historic first for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, who have made the band their Jazz Ensemble in Residence. Fittingly, this initiative has been drawn together by bassist and native of the borough Ronan Guilfoyle, and Metier is just one strand of an innovative project that also features schools workshops and performances by international artists like cellist Vincent Courtois. Metier the band is no less potent, with a line up that convenes five of the strongest musicians in Ireland today to play their own compositions, and Michael Buckley (saxophones), Paul Williamson (trumpet), Justin Carroll (piano) and Sean Carpio (drums) join Guilfoyle in a band that fairly bristles with creative energy.
