Myles Drennan Trio- Pendulum

A rare combination of prodigious natural talent, instinctive jazz sophistication and self-effacing modesty, Myles Drennan has been a byword for excellence among Irish musicians for more than a decade, both as drummer and pianist. He favours the latter here in this piano trio that has evolved from a recent residency in Bewley's Café Theatre, and which boasts an empathic rhythm section in bassist Dave Redmond and drummer Sean Carpio, with standards associated with Coltrane, Evans, Davis and Hancock as a further stimulus.
