Pendulum - Mark McKnight 4tet feat. Seamus Blake

Mark McKnight 4tet feat. Seamus Blake

“Already an exceptional talent and one to watch” is how The Irish Times recently described Overnight, the debut CD from Mark McKnight, and certainly this supple and inventive young guitarist has been serving notice that Belfast is enjoying a jazz resurgence. Since graduating from Berklee, he’s been performing and recording in good company, including Jason Rebello, Jean Toussaint, Sam Yahel, Darren Beckett, Tim Warfield and Terell Stafford, and this year he’s played 12 Points! and been on the road with The European Jazz Orchestra, the annual road show of Europe’s best emerging soloists. He arrives match fit in Dublin with an enticing line up featuring Canada’s Seamus Blake, among the strongest tenor saxophonists of the contemporary era, the ascendant young Hammond man Ross Stanley and one of London’s busiest creative drummers James Maddren.
