Petersen/Carpio/Redmond/Carroll

The Royal Conservatory of The Hague has become the institution of choice for Europe’s leading young jazz musicians, like 26 year old Danish guitarist Mikkel Peterson. He has cut his teeth with the conservatory’s big band, performing at The North Sea with luminaries like Charlie Haden and Kenny Wheeler, as well as leading original small groups in Denmark and Holland.

A balanced, evolved musician as we have come to expect from Scandinavia’s sophisticated jazz scene, influences abound of contemporary guitarists like Ben Monder and Kurt Rosenwinkel, heard here in the company of Justin Carroll (organ), Dave Redmond (bass) and Sean Carpio (drums)
