Phil Ware Quintet

Tight ensembles, dynamic soloists and driving rhythm sections were the hallmarks of hard bop, the exhilerating idiom that reached its pinnacle on the seminal albums of Art Blakey, Joe Henderson and Horace Silver.

Its a style that continues to motivate players and audiences alike, and for the last Pendulum gig of 2005, pianist Phil Ware has brought together a quintet of leading Irish musicians to in hard bop homage, including Danny Healy (trumpet), Brendan Doyle (tenor), Dave Redmond (bass) and Conor Guilfoyle (drums).
