By any standards Scott Tinkler is a remarkable musician, and his mastery of the trumpet puts him on a par with the instrument's most celebrated exponents in Europe and The US. His extensive discography includes a Warner's release with Joe Lovano and Jeff "Tain" Watts, and he's performed internationally with artists as diverse as Betty Carter and Arthur Blythe. At home, he's a fulcrum of Melbourne's creative music scene with groups like Ellision, Hydromus Krysogast and the Australian Art Orchestra. Agile in every extreme of the trumpet register with an ability to sustain the melodic narrative over the longest of lines, he also possesses formidable stamina, manifest in his favoured trumpet, bass and drums configuration which has yielded two acclaimed Australian cds, and in which he performs here with bassist Ronan Guilfoyle and drummer Conor Guilfoyle.
