Solo Piano Series: Alexander Hawkins

In collaboration with the Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery, Improvised Music Company (IMC) are delighted to present a series of four outstanding contemporary solo jazz pianists, continuing on Sunday 12th April with Alexander Hawkins.

Young British jazz pianist and composer dubbed “one of the fastest rising stars of the UK jazz scene” (Jazzwise) will perform his his mix of free improvisation and ingeniously crafted charts at this midday concert on 12th April. Representing the UK in the 2014 12 Points festival, Hawkins solo, duo, trio collaborations include high profile jazz starts such as Louis Moholo-Moholo as well as Joe McPhee.
