Susannah de Wrixon

The enigmatic Blossom Dearie, one of the hippest yet most overlooked figures of the golden age of vocal jazz, and still performing regularly in Danny’s Skylight Bar in NYC, provides the focus for this Pendulum appearance by Dublin based singer Susannah De Wrixon. A busy actor, Susannah divides her time between TV, stage and theatre work, interests she successfully combined with Fever, her well-received tribute to the life and times of Peggy Lee. Pianist Phil Ware, bassist Dave Fleming and drummer Kevin Brady provide the discreet backing for this talented vocalist, in tribute to Dearie’s own compositions and those of her peers like Dave Frisberg and Michel Legrand.
