Tanya Kalmanovitch’s Hut Five

Canadian violist Tanya Kalmanovitch presents the eclectic music of her Hut Five project with bassist and frequent collaborator Ronan Guilfoyle joined by pianist Greg Felton and drummer Conor Guilfoyle. With repertoire drawn from her previous Hut Five album plus new compositions for this group, the aural landscape will be broody, angular and chromatic, leavened by groove and graceful lyricism of the viola, and a reflection of this singular musician’s ease within the vocabularies of jazz and contemporary music.
