The Celtic Quintet

Thursday 22nd July, 1-2pm @ Herbert Park D4

The linear melodies of Irish music and rolling lines of jazz are closer than you might imagine, and its a terrain explored to convincing effect by The Celtic Quintet.

Jigs, reels, hornpipes and slow airs from the template for jazz exploration informed by the be bop tradition, led by guitarist Eamonn Moran in the company of Ciaran Wilde (alto/clarinet), Peter Brown (accordion), Cormac O'Brien (bass) and Jerry Feehily (drums).
