Richie Buckley is internationally recognized as one of Ireland’s leading jazz performers. Described by the Irish Times as “Something of a genius with a world reputation amongst saxophonists”, he has collaborated with musicians as diverse as Van Morrison, Freddie Hubbard, Bob Dylan, Georgie Fame, Jon Hendricks, Carlos Santana, Barry Manilow, Elvis Costello and James Williams.

Danny G & the Major 7ths / Sister Fenix

Fresh from their album launch in February, Danny G & the Major 7ths are back in their spiritual home with new tunes and the same good vibes. The Major 7ths are a 9 piece soul band, the vehicle for Danny Groenland’s original compositions - heavy on backing vocals and grooves, with a brass section for extra funk. They also like to do some obscure soul covers for the deep diggers.

Trombonist, multi-instrumentalist and composer Colm O’Hara has played with some of Ireland’s most innovative and interesting ensembles, including amongst others, the Crash Ensemble, the Dirty Jazz Club, Yurodny, Havana ‘che, and quartet ReDiviDeR, whose recent release ‘Mere Nation’ was praised by All About Jazz for their “beguiling hybrid of simplicity and complexity, tunefulness and adventure”.
