Ways we can promote your work

IMC endeavours to help artists through a combination of resources, planning, professional career advice as well as additional publicity and marketing.

If you would like to explore possibilities for support, please contact Artist Development Officer Bianca Gannon at artists@improvisedmusic.ie , with an outline of your work and what kind of assistance would benefit your development. We will work with you to determine what assistance we can give you, depending on your situation and our capacity.

Please also explore our resources section with advice for artists, and let us know at artists@improvisedmusic.ie if there is a particular subject you would like to see addressed.

We can always list upcoming events in Scene Listings on our News page, which is shared regularly across our social media and newsletter. Please send details to scene@improvisedmusic.ie. Unfortunately, IMC cannot guarantee listings if we do not receive accurate information in good time. However, if online gigs are still available for viewing we can list them after the fact in our 'Look Back' section. We may not be able to list every gig received immediately if submissions are high. We may not be able to list a gig if it is not appropriate to our listings.

We also list albums or records new and old on our Album Listings in Read/Watch/Listen. If you have albums you would like us to share please send us a link to admin@improvisedmusic.ie, ideally with a link to Bandcamp or somewhere that people can buy the album to support you. We also share our Album Listings regularly on social media and in our newsletters.

Remember to sign up to our Musicians' Newsletter to keep up-to-date on opportunities for artists, along with news and special discount codes for IMC events.

Our Jazz Connector online meet-ups are free to attend and offer advice on continuing professional development from key guest speakers, covering topics from dealing with arts centres, to receiving royalties to making funding applications. Check Events to see the details of the next Jazz Connector, and you will be able to read Talking Points from previous sections in our Resources & Opportunities section.

Fill out this form to let us know what time suits you best for sessions or if you would like to see a particular topic covered.

Our Irish playlist is the centre of our representation for Irish artists abroad, and is shared to European bookers at jazzahead! and through the Europe Jazz Network.

Suggest a track for our playlist. We will be in touch to let you know if your application is successful.

Established Irish and Irish-based artists in the fields of jazz, improvised and world music can be added to our explore artists section, which is a reference for many international organisations interested in Irish artists. To apply to be on our explore artist page please fill out the form linked here, and if suitable we will do your best to add you to our pages as soon as we can.
